What We Do

En2action has consistently demonstrated our commitment to inclusivity, equity, and community engagement, providing technical assistance and business development services to small BIPOC, primarily black businesses and entrepreneurs.

We support individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses with public space activation, digital marketing, corridor marketing, vendor opportunities, and activation efforts and connecting them with funding, educational, and economic opportunities via our three main programs and a myriad of community projects.

Ujamaa Kitchen

Cornerstone En2action program Ujamaa Kitchen offers vital support to Black food entrepreneurs in the city. This support includes assistance with permitting, licensing, marketing, workshops, access to a commercial kitchen space, and vending opportunities at various venues, including the Ferry Building, community events, farmers' markets, and citywide public and private events. We provide Black food entrepreneurs opportunities to network and sell their products within the community, fostering economic growth and resilience.

Sell Black

Sell Black is En2action’s 14-week digital marketing/e-commerce program for Black entrepreneurs and small business owners. The program includes 6 weeks of virtual workshops and 7 weeks of working with creative experts to design or redesign their e-commerce website to advance digital competitiveness and increase business. Through Sell Black, we've assisted over 120 Black-owned businesses since 2021, helping them with rebranding, website development, e-commerce, and overall business development.

Black Cultural Preservation Mini-Grants

The BCP Mini Grants program offers opportunities for organizations and individuals to preserve and celebrate Black history, heritage, and artistic expression through community building events and activations across five neighborhoods: Lakeview, Oceanview-Merced Heights-Ingleside, Sunnydale, Tenderloin, Visitacion Valley. Grants support a diverse range of events such as community festivals, art exhibitions, educational programs, and entrepreneurial ventures, building a sense of pride, unity, and economic stability.
