En2action facilitates dozens of projects to benefit, empower, and activate the community.

Educational Community Engagement

En2action serves as a bridge between educators, school districts, students, parents, and surrounding communities, facilitating conversations around school modernization plans and desired impact.

SFUSD Buena Vista Horace Mann K-8 Community School Modernization

  • En2action has led bi-lingual community outreach and engagement for the modernization of Buena Vista Horace Mann (BVHM). Stakeholders include parents, students, teachers, and after-school program coordinators. Over one year, En2action has held 25+ community-focused events, conducted qualitative data analysis, and consistently held weekly check-ins with site leadership, capturing input on the school’s design and community concerns.

  • During the height of the winter storms in 2022 and 2023, En2action quickly pivoted its modernization work, supported the district in crisis communications with BVHM, and ensured that the BVHM community felt heard and safe. En2action also facilitated community meetings discussing risk mitigation and addressing the community’s health concerns.

UCSF Community Advisory Group (CAG)

  • The UCSF Community and Government Relations (CGR) team formed the volunteer CAG to gather community input and feedback on various land use initiatives, programs, and policies to ensure that they align with community needs and priorities. 

 

  • En2action team members support the CAG in establishing its structure and direction and aid members in implementing the group's goals and objectives moving forward. The CAG will help UCSF better address community impact, enhance communication, and promote collaboration between UCSF and the communities it serves.

Bond Measure G, Mill Valley School District (MVSD)

  • En2action is working in partnership with MVSD leadership, AECOM, and Lionakis architects to refine and implement an outreach and engagement plan that supports their Elementary and Middle Schools Modernization Bond goals. En2action will help them establish a strong foundation for teamwork and decision-making moving forward.

 

  • As part of this work, En2action will help MSVD achieve the following overall outcomes: 1) creating a more informed and engaged community; 2) nurturing positive and trust-based communication between the school district, oversight committee, school sites, and community stakeholders, and 3) establishing frameworks for sharing updates, gathering input, and informing decision-making for the modernization phases.
